Nesbitt Burns representatives promised me my principal was protected as I worked very hard for my money, and did not want to incur a loss. They lied. Of course, this is my opinion and they tried to worm their way out of it, but they lied. I lost a lot of money, but they made their hefty management fees and that is all they cared about, preying on people who don't know about the stock market and then collecting their management fees and sending the client to hell.
